Serious Business

June 1, 2007

Deepak sent me this intersting blog post at Anshul’s blog. Anshul talks about fighting maturity or to put in other words he urges us all not to kill the child inside us all. Idea is to keep things simple and not make them complex. Seriously not to do serious business like grown ups. This reminds me of a book i finished recently. Little Prince is a children classic first published in year 1943 book is a must read for all those who wish to be part of “kill maturity” mission. Book lightly touches upong really serious issues like following passions, living your dreams, loving something, asking questions. You will get some idea about the book from its foreword:

I ask the forbearance of the children who may read this book for dedicating it to a grown-up. My first and most serious reason is that he is the best friend I have in the world. My second reason is that this grown-up understands everything, even books about children. And my third reason is that he lives in France where he is hungry and cold. He needs cheering up. If all these reasons are not enough, I will dedicate the book to the little boy from whom this grown up grew. All grown-ups were children once – although few of them remember it. And so I correct my dedication.

So all of us who are game for killing maturity and remember that they were children once, can read the book here

You will also love to read about Mr Gump!!

p.s. I was just wondering …. what does it mean getting lost in corporate jungle? losing identity and being serious?

Well…good point…but does everyone loose their identity in the corporate jungle…or does it get evolved…what u r u always will remain..addition or subtraction does mean change..but doesnt mean loosing the full…

like they say…ashes to ashes…dust to dust..
