The Road not Taken
Old and famous poem of Robert Frost …
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
questions …….
Which road are you on? Robert Frost’s road not taken or on the beaten path? OR you still waiting for the diversion? Or you not traveling at all? Does it really matter to travel the road less traveled or take the beaten path and change the way you travel to make it more interesting ….. instead of walking down …travel it on skating board ….. or don’t walk alone, take people along with you …..?? Comments !!
Sometime I really wonder at how some interesting coincidences we come across. Just last week I was feeling very down when my sis sent me that Frost’s poem. Although the poem is inspiring, being in my bad mood, I wrote back in the same tone, which turned out to be a rather interesting poem nevertheless! 🙂
Me would be mostly reluctant to pursue the road not already taken, but it does bring huge rewards if one has the courage to tread one’s own path. I wish I had that courage…
